General Policies
The Scientific Program Committee of ISH 2008 World Congress invites you to submit abstract(s) for oral and poster presentations.
a) Abstracts should describe original, unpublished
work and be submitted using the on-line form at www.ish2008.org . Only
abstract submitted on-line will be accepted.
b) Abstracts will not be considered unless accompanied
by the completed Registration Form and Fee.
c) Abstracts must be written in English only.
d) Authors will be notified of the status of their
submission, together with information on the presentation
date and time by August 31, 2008. The Scientific
Program Committee will consider the author's preference
in assigning abstracts by presentation type. Please
note, however, that the program structure will only
allow for a limited number of oral presentations.
e) All accepted abstracts will be published in exactly
the same form and condition submitted by authors |
Abstract Content
Abstracts should include the reason(s) for the study, the method used, the findings and results, and the conclusions. Tables are not be used unless they are essential. References are similarly discouraged but, if unavoidable, they should be incorporated into the text.
Abstract Format
a) On-line abstract submission is the easiest and most reliable method for
sending abstracts.
b) E-mail abstract submission requires sending in all the information that
is contained on the abstract form. It is preferred that you send the abstract
as an attached file in MICROSOFT Word format.
c) Abstract submission format - please use the following instructions:
All abstracts must be submitted in English. Times New
Roman font is recommended.
Titles should be 10 point, centered, and bold.
Author names are 8 point and left justified in italic.
The name of the presenting author is underlined. The
name of corresponding author(s) is indicated with an
asterisk.
Affiliations are 8 point and left justified.
Abstracts should not be more than 300 words and should
be typed in 10 point Times New Roman, single spaced
with margins set at 20 mm (top), and 30 mm (bottom and
sides).

Presentation for Free Paper Session
The accepted abstracts will be assigned to present as either oral presentation or poster presentation.
The guideline for oral presentation will be notified together with the presenting schedule. The authors whose abstracts are assigned to present as the poster presentation must proceed as the following :
a) The presenter will be requested to be available for discussion during
the corresponding poster viewing session.
b) The usable surface of the display panels measures
120 cm. (height) x 90 cm. (width). Please use only
double tape. No pushpins and glues should be use.
Poster will be set up in the exhibition area.
c) Please use letter large enough to be read from a distance of 1.5 meters.
